So the tradition is to come up with some kind of resolution for the New Year that you are going to try and achieve by the end of the New Year. Usually people pick to lose weight or change something about themselves. I have also tried this and like everyone else, have not accomplished any of them and usually quit with in a week. This year I have not made a resolution because I am being pessimistic and think its dumb and a waste of time. I do however want to do something new, fun, and exciting for the New Year and try to make it a hell of a lot better than last year was.

While surfing Facebook I came across a friend who is doing something called "Project 365". Apparently a photographer, Taylor McKnight, decided to start taking a photo a day starting on January 1st, 2004 for the whole year of 2004. Inspired by this, other people have tried to do the same thing. In high school I used to write in a journal every night before going to bed, from 6th grade until I graduated and completed over 16 journals. Two days ago my mom had asked me if I still wrote every night and I haven't since graduation which was in 2006. When I found the "Project 365" I got the bright idea to try taking a picture a day and also combining it with my journal writing.

So here is what I am going to start and try to do...I will take a picture a day and write a small entry about the picture and reflect back on what happened that day or just write about the picture and why I took it. I will do this for the whole year of 2009. I want to ultimately put it all together in a scrapbook that I can share with people. Unfortunately when I came home on break from college I left everything at school and have no way of getting to it until January 11th.

So I am going to have to take pictures using my parents cameras and uploading them onto my laptop. I may post all the pictures and entries on here as an electronic way of doing it as well that way I am not pressured to try and make sure I make a scrapbook page a day cause school does completely own my soul right now. I may just find some other kind of blog and do a post a day with the pic and entry too. I don't know yet exactly what I am going to do since I just decided to start this little adventure today. So here's to the old shitty year gone and a new year full of pictures to come.
